Sure, there are always those few students somehow graced with stunning skin that is totally unblemished all thru their childhood years, but if they manage to complete high school without having a zit the rules of averages would suggest that something will go extremely haywire later in their lives. Perhaps the rest of us can just hope.
Acne can go a long way in wrecking your day, or at least wrecking your pride. Awakening with a giant red zit on the middle of your jaw can be catastrophic, particularly if it’s on the day of your prom dance or on the day of your first date with the girl or guy of your dreams. Once the zit is already there, there is not an entire lot you can do. You can pop it and get left with a red mark or merely leave it there and suffer thru it. Personally, though it may run against preferred opinion, I would say pop the thing. Give it some thought, when you see other youngsters in the halls is it better to see a little red mark or a large red and white pimple? Talking of other kids, they have acne too. Though it may feel like it occasionally, you are not the sole one who sometimes has acne.
It may feel just like everyone else is looking at the zit on your jaw, but actually, they are not. They could care less if you had 10 zits on your jaw, since they are potentially too rapt up in thinking about their own acne. Puberty brings with it an entire host of issues so do not fret, everyone else is freaking out too.
So, what are you able to do about your acne? As the old saying go, some prevention is better than a cure. Sadly for some, acne is, in part, genetic. Some folk are genetically prone to having surprisingly clear skin, others have average skin with blemishes cropping up now and then, while yet others are genetically troubled with having appalling skin. If you end up somewhere in the last 2 classes like most of the people, all hope isn’t lost. Since blemishes are in actual fact caused by dust and oil getting trapped inside your pores, the best prevention against these breakouts are to clean your face continually, at least each morning and night. To avoid any irritation be sure to use a mild soap. A mild acid can help some folk dry out their faces and cut back the amount of oil on their skin, except for others it dries out their skin too much so be sure to know what your skin type is first before opting for this choice. Some prescription drugs are available, but these typically are not worth the effort and side-effects unless your acne is chronic.
